Customer Terms

Welcome to mentorplace.com ("Website"). These Customer Terms govern your organisation's access to and use of the MentorPlace Platform ("Services"). The Website is operated by Career Technologies Pty Ltd, ABN: 48 647 627 414 ("we", "us", "MentorPlace"). By using, browsing, or accessing the Website, you signify that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

Acceptance

Your organisation accepts these Terms by engaging the Services — including by initiating a trial, completing the online subscription process, or signing an Order Form. Where there is any inconsistency between these Customer Terms and an Order Form, the Order Form shall prevail to the extent of the inconsistency.

Platform Description

MentorPlace is a web-based platform facilitating structured mentoring, coaching, and professional development connections for organisations. We offer Trial, Modular, and Enterprise account types. Account features and pricing may change from time to time and may be governed by separate terms specific to the account type.

Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of all account credentials and login details
  • All activity that occurs under your organisation's account
  • Ensuring that all authorised users comply with these Terms
  • Promptly notifying us of any unauthorised use or security breach

Acceptable Use

The MentorPlace Platform must only be used lawfully and for its intended purpose. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to accounts that:

  • Harass, abuse, or discriminate against other users
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other systems or user data
  • Distribute spam, malware, or malicious content
  • Use the platform in a manner that degrades service for other users

Subscription and Payment

Subscription fees are billed in advance for the selected subscription term. All fees are non-refundable except as expressly stated in your Order Form or as required by applicable law. Failure to pay fees may result in suspension of access to the platform.

Data and Privacy

We process personal data of your users in accordance with our Privacy Policy and any applicable Data Processing Agreement. Your organisation retains ownership of all data uploaded to the platform. We will not sell or use your data for advertising purposes.

Intellectual Property

MentorPlace retains all intellectual property rights in the platform, software, and documentation. Your organisation retains ownership of all content and data you upload to the platform.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability under these Terms shall not exceed the total fees paid by your organisation in the twelve months preceding the relevant claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.

Termination

Either party may terminate these Terms with written notice as specified in your Order Form. Upon termination, you will have 30 days to export your data. We reserve the right to terminate immediately for material breach of these Terms.
