Partner Terms

These Partner Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Partner", "you") and Career Technologies Pty Ltd (ABN: 48 647 627 414), trading as MentorPlace ("we", "us", "our"). By registering as a mentor or partner on MentorPlace, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Partner Registration

To register as a MentorPlace Partner or Mentor, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Provide accurate, complete, and current information about your professional background
  • Hold any qualifications, certifications, or experience you represent in your profile
  • Keep your profile information current and accurate at all times

Intellectual Property

The MentorPlace platform — including all software, content, trademarks, and intellectual property — is owned by or licensed to Career Technologies Pty Ltd. You retain ownership of original content you create, but grant MentorPlace a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display your profile, materials, and endorsements on the platform and in promotional contexts.

Conduct Standards

As a MentorPlace Partner, you agree to:

  • Conduct all sessions with professionalism, courtesy, and integrity
  • Maintain confidentiality of mentee information and session content
  • Not solicit mentees for services outside the MentorPlace platform
  • Disclose any conflicts of interest that may affect your relationship with a mentee
  • Comply with all applicable professional regulations relevant to your area of expertise

Prohibited Activities

Partners must not:

  • Misrepresent qualifications, experience, or areas of expertise
  • Use the platform for any unlawful, harmful, or discriminatory purpose
  • Share, sell, or otherwise exploit mentee personal information
  • Attempt to disrupt or circumvent the platform's functionality
  • Engage in any conduct that could bring MentorPlace into disrepute

Fees and Compensation

Partner compensation is agreed upon during onboarding or as specified in the platform settings. MentorPlace may retain a service fee on sessions completed. Payment terms and fee structures are detailed in your Partner account settings. Some partners choose to donate their compensation to charitable causes — this option is available in your account settings.

Reviews and Ratings

Mentees may leave reviews and ratings following sessions. MentorPlace reserves the right to moderate, edit, or remove reviews that violate our community guidelines. Partners may not incentivise, request, or otherwise manipulate reviews.

Termination

Either party may terminate the Partner relationship at any time with written notice. MentorPlace may immediately suspend or terminate a Partner account for material breach of these Terms, including professional misconduct, misrepresentation, or violation of applicable law.

Limitation of Liability

MentorPlace acts as a marketplace connecting partners with organisations and mentees. We are not responsible for the outcomes of individual mentoring sessions. Our liability to Partners is limited to fees earned but not yet paid at the time of any termination.
